Will there be a new Call of Duty in 2020?

Will There Be a New Call of Duty in 2020

According to Activision Blizzard, the short answer is yes:

With the success of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), many fans have been wondering, will there be a new Call of Duty in 2020? While it seems rather soon, Activision Blizzard has confirmed that we will see a new Call of Duty in 2020. Activision Blizzard, as many experienced game creators would know, even acknowledged that the release of a new Call of Duty in 2020 means that it won’t sell as well as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019). We are unaware which studio will be creating the game this time, and no details on platforms were shared, which has left us assuming that it will be made available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

This week, Activision Blizzard spoke about Modern Warfare’s success and how it surpassed earnings over Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 with relative ease. While they didn’t provide specifics about the game’s success, they said that this year’s Call of Duty title, set to be released in late 2020, will not perform as well as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019).

In December of 2019, Activision Blizzard stated that Modern Warfare generated more than $1 billion in revenue and that players spent more than 500 million hours playing multiplayer. Players have played nearly 300 million matches since release. Unsurprisingly, Modern Warfare (2019) was December’s best-selling game, and the best selling game for all of 2019, while Black Ops 4 took the ninth spot as the best selling game this decade.

Can You Use Disney Plus on PS3?

Can You Use Disney Plus on PS3

Since the launch of Disney+ on current generation consoles such as PS4 and Xbox One, many people have been asking Can You Use Disney Plus on PS3? And, Is Disney Plus available on PS3? For those of you who still use the PS3 daily, you probably will not like the answer, but we’re here to provide it regardless.

Can You Use Disney Plus on PS3 or Xbox 360?

While Disney+ is available on current generation consoles such as the Xbox One and PS4, support and development for the PS3 and Xbox 360 have officially ended. Therefore, Sony and Microsoft will no longer be providing updates to these systems and Disney+ will not be made available on the PS3 or the Xbox 360.

Thankfully, there are other ways that you can watch Disney+ such as using an Xbox One, PS4, a laptop, tablet, SMART TV or streaming stick such as a Roku, which can be used on any television with a USB port, in a home with a WiFi connection.

What Is Disney Plus?

Disney Plus is Disney’s answer to the modern streaming market. While Disney previously had much of its content available on services such as Netflix, Disney+ is the exclusive home for all new Disney produced movies and television shows released starting in 2019. Including Frozen II, Star Wars IX: Rise of Skywalker and Avengers: Endgame.

Disney+ will also feature movies, documentaries and shows released before 2019, removing the majority of it from all other streaming services, including every single season of The Simpsons, which I didn’t even know that Disney owned!

What We Know About The Xbox Series X

What We Know About The Xbox Series X

The internet has been buzzing with speculation regarding What We Know About The Xbox Series X, and while some rumours may be true, here’s what we know about the Xbox Series X so far:

Xbox Series X Power and Specs

While Microsoft is still holding out on the complete specifics, they have provided us with a few comparisons, and we’ve seen some leaks that suggest it will be a compelling game system. Microsoft themselves have stated that the Xbox Series X will be four times more powerful than the Xbox One X.

Based on the most recent information available, here’s what the specifications look like so far.

CategoryXbox Series X
ProcessorCustom AMD Zen 2-based CPU (8x @ 3.6 GHz)
GraphicsCustom AMD Navi-based GPU (12 TF RDNA)
Memory16GB GDDR6 RAM (13GB guaranteed for game developers)
StorageNVMe SSD (we’ve heard read speeds of anywhere up to 2GB/s)
Video Output8K, 4K @ 120Hz
Optical Drive4K Blu-ray
PortsOne front-facing USB Type-A; Unknown
ColourMatte Black
Size30cm x 16cm x 16cm (estimate)
Release DateHoliday 2020

We’re unable to confirm at this point how many USB and HDMI ports the Xbox Series X will have; however, it appears that there will be one USB Type-A on the front, and as per usual, we can expect an HDMI port at the back.

Xbox Series X Size and Dimensions

The Xbox Series X looks massive compared to the Xbox One, but just how big is it? Microsoft has yet to release the console’s exact dimensions, rumours have surfaced that it will be 310 mm by 160 mm and 160 mm.

If we compare the Xbox Series X to the Xbox One X, the Xbox Series X has the potential to be much larger. While we are not used to seeing consoles designed in this way, Microsoft has stated it is to enhance airflow and be silent while powering next-generation games.

Xbox Series X Features and Improvements

The Xbox Series X complete specifications and features are still being kept private, but Microsoft has hinted at a few new details.

Microsoft has spoken about improving loading speeds and access to games through the Xbox Series X. We have heard that the NVMe SSD paired with some of Microsoft’s technology will nearly eliminate load-time. For example, games that initially would have had loading times of one minute will be reduced to seconds. We have heard that Microsoft will also potentially be using Project XCloud to improve installation time, too, which means that you will be able to start playing games using the Project XCloud stream before they’re finished installing. Next-generation gaming is quickly becoming all about saving you time. Microsoft has also designed Xbox Series X to be ridiculously quiet, and we have heard that it’s virtually silent under extreme conditions.

We personally like the Xbox One controller; however, Microsoft is introducing a new controller with the Series X, with a revised d-pad similar to what is used on Xbox Elite controllers. The new controller design is also allegedly smaller than previous Xbox controllers. It also has upgraded triggers and grip textures, thank goodness.

The new Xbox Series X controller is also rumoured to be compatible with previous Xbox One consoles, and Windows 10 PCs. Your headsets, Xbox One controllers, and Xbox One-compatible accessories will be forward-compatible and work on the Series X as well.

Regarding graphics, the Xbox Series X will feature a wide range of enhancements that improve it and make it superior to current generation systems. Capable of 120 frames per second, the console is complete with a variable refresh rate for compatible displays, and support for 8K resolution. Sixty frames per second will be the standard for 4K resolution. Hardware-accelerated ray tracing will also be featured on the Xbox Series X, which creates real-time reflections and shadows dynamically, enhancing your gameplay experience.

Microsoft has advanced features that developers will leverage to get more power out of the system. In the form of Variable Shading, with Automatic Low Latency Mode and Dynamic Latency Input, making the Xbox Series X the most responsive game system ever created.

Many of these features will launch with the new Game Core OS developer environment and will require the use of DirectX 12. Many games will be scalable between platforms, and between the original Xbox One consoles and the Project Scarlett next-gen consoles. To leverage advanced visual features, developers will need to use Game Core OS, respectively.

We are all very excited about the release of Xbox Series X; however, in the meantime, the Xbox One is still relevant, and many publishers have announced that they will be releasing new titles throughout 2020. You can view our selection of Xbox One Games or go to Xbox for news, releases and more.

How To Fix An Xbox Wireless Adapter That Won’t Connect

How To Fix An Xbox Wireless Adapter That Won't Connect

As with all technology, sometimes our gadgets don’t quite work the way that we expect, and we need to do a little problem-solving to get them up and running correctly. The Xbox Wireless Adapter is no exception to that rule, and we’re here to tell you How To Fix An Xbox Wireless Adapter That Won’t Connect.

If you are unable to use your Xbox Wireless Adapter, it may be because of one of the following reasons:

The adapter didn’t auto-install:

That’s right; it really could be that simple. Included within the Windows 10 operating system are the Xbox Wireless Adapter drivers, so it should, in theory, auto-install. If it doesn’t, you can try these simple steps.

  • Make sure that your Windows 10 device is connected to the Internet
  • Make sure that your Windows 10 device is up to date, and go to Windows Update on your device to check for available updates
  • Reboot your Windows 10 device and try again
  • Ensure that your USB ports are not disabled in your Device Manager
  • Always try another USB 2.0 or 3.0 port
  • Or try reinstalling the drivers in case they have partially installed. Follow these steps to complete the process:

    1. Go to your Device Manager
    2. Locate Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows in the Network Adapters section.
    3. Click Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows to bring up the Properties window
    4. Click on the Driver tab
    5. On the Driver tab, click the Uninstall button
    6. On the confirmation window, check Delete the driver software for this device
    7. Unplug the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows and reboot your Windows 10 device.
    8. With the device back on, plug the adapter back in

The adapter was working but isn’t responding now:

If your Xbox Wireless Adapter was installed and working but is not responding after waking your computer, your USB controller may not have Wake on Wireless turned on by default. The USB controller driver can typically manage this.

There are two solutions to this:

  • While your Windows 10 device is running unplug the device and plug it back in
  • If that did not work, you can adjust the properties to enable Wake on Wireless. In the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows window, select Allow the device to wake the computer. To do so, follow these steps:

    1. Go to your Device Manager
    2. Select Wireless Adapter for Windows in the Network Adapters section
    3. Click Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows to bring up the Properties window
    4. Click the Power Management tab
    5. Select Allow this device to wake the computer, and then select OK

The controller won’t connect to the Xbox One Adapter:

  • Ensure that you are within range (6 meters or less) of the adapter and it’s in line of sight to the controller
  • If you are using an Xbox controller, try re-syncing your controller to your Xbox One console. If your controller syncs correctly, you have isolated the issue to the Wireless Adapter for Windows
  • Unplug your adapter, reboot your device, and then plug it back in (to another port if possible), and try again

Headset audio issues while using the Xbox One Adapter:

If you have audio problems with your controller paired with the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows, try the following solutions:

  • Ensure you’re within range (6 meters or less) of the adapter and it’s in line of sight to the controller.
  • Always make sure that your controller is up to date:

    • Using an Xbox One console: Go to Settings > Accessories, then select your controller and verify whether there is a new update available. For more info, see Update your Wireless Controller.
    • Using a Windows 10 device: Get the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store. You can update your controller from inside the app. Please be advised that the Xbox Accessories application is only available on Xbox One and Windows 10.
  • Ensure there is no wireless interference. Interference can degrade any wireless signal, which will affect audio performance.

Your controller frequently disconnects from the Wireless Adapter:

If your controller frequently disconnects from the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows, this may be because of environmental issues, such as the line of sight, or heavy interference between the Adapter and Controller. Metallic objects are known to cause interference with wireless devices. Try the following steps to enhance the connection between your controller and adapter:

  • Make sure you’re within an optimal range of the adapter (6 meters or less)
  • Use the USB extender to bring the adapter closer to your controller
  • Ensure that the adapter and your controller have a good line of sight. If needed, you can use a USB extender. For these devices to communicate successfully, they need the most unobstructed opportunity to do so
  • Move the adapter away from metal and do not set it directly on a metal surface
